The work of Drupal France et Francophonie focuses in particular on promoting the use, translation, and French-language documentation of Drupal, organizing Drupal-related events, and advocating for the interests of the project and its community. Beyond France, the Association Drupal France et Francophonie can also be active in French-speaking countries that do not yet have an established association. It operates under the umbrella of the (international) Drupal Association and can call on it or its network when needed.

They are a non-profit association run by volunteers. The costs are primarily covered by (event) sponsors and their partner programme. Many agencies have now joined the association as partners.
