Drupal Switserland
Drupal Switzerland is the Swiss Drupal association, formally operating as Drupal Events Switzerland. The association aims to promote awareness and use of Drupal by organising events, and welcomes everyone, from back-end and front-end developers to site builders, content editors, designers, project managers, and anyone curious about Drupal and the open web.
Switzerland has an active Drupal community, with a strong presence in both Zurich and Bern and a flagship international event that draws participants from across Europe and beyond.
Drupal Mountain Camp
The standout event of the Swiss community is Drupal Mountain Camp, held annually in Davos. The camp takes place over three days in the Swiss Alps in winter, combining a full conference programme with the setting: workshops, sessions, contribution sprints, keynotes (and skiing, snowboarding, and fondue in the evenings).
The fourth edition took place in March 2024 and the fifth in March 2025, both at the Davos Congress Centre. The sixth edition is already planned for March 2027. The camp draws an international audience and has established itself as one of the most distinctive Drupal events on the European calendar.
Splash Awards Switzerland
In conjunction with Drupal Mountain Camp, Drupal Events Switzerland organises the Splash Awards Switzerland, celebrating the best Drupal projects of the year in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The awards returned in 2023 with over 30 nominations and have continued to grow. The 2025 ceremony took place on 11 March in Davos. Swiss projects have also performed strongly at the International Splash Awards: a project by Liip AG for the Canton of Basel-Stadt won at the International Splash Awards 2025 at DrupalCon Vienna.
